Scientific kindergarten

JCI Kindergarten is the original project of the Jagiellonian Centre of Innovation, addressed to kids, aimed to ensure their comprehensive and harmonious development.

JCI Kindergarten is located in the Life Science Park, adjacent to the Jagiellonian University Campus. The overall aim of the initiative was to cater to parents employed at the Jagiellonian University and within the Life Science Park and to provide complementary support to academic employees, hence the inclusion of JCI Kindergarten as part of the initial project to extend the Life Science Park. The JCI Kindergarten began operations on September 2nd, 2013 and is currently attended by 40 children aged 2.5-6 years.

The kindergarten’s program consists of classes resulting from the core curriculum developed by the Ministry of Education and two original programs: the life science program based on the scientific kindergarten curriculum and the regional education program. The program is supplemented by an extensive range of extra-curricular activities, including learning to play chess, Chinese language classes, dog therapy and biofeedback.

JCI Kindergarten recruits children throughout the year, based on availability.
