JCI Kindergarten
The JCI Kindergarten is a proprietary idea developed by the Jagiellonian Center of Innovation with children in mind, intended to contribute to their comprehensive and harmonious development.
The JCI Kindergarten is a safe and colorful space in the Life Science Park. The primary objective of this initiative was to meet the needs of parents who work at the Jagiellonian University and the Life Science Park; that is why the concept of the JCI Kindergarten from the very start fitted well with the Life Science Park extension project, providing a complementary support service to researchers and academics. The JCI Kindergarten started operating on 2 September 2013. At present 40 children, aged 2.5 – 6 years, attend the kindergarten.
The kindergarten curriculum includes activities based on the Ministry of Education’s core curriculum as well as two proprietary programs: one based on life sciences, referred to as “Science Kindergarten” and a regional program called “Regional Education.” The curriculum comes complete with additional activities, such as playing chess, learning Chinese, and dog-assisted therapy activities.
Kindergarten admissions are open all year round if/as places become available.
