The Jagiellonian Center of Innovation has joined the group of companies supporting individuals and institutions in the fight against the SARS-Cov-2 coronavirus!
Jagiellonian Centre of Innowation lent to the Małopolska Center of Biotechnology of the Jagiellonian University the equipment needed to perform diagnostic tests in people suspected of COVID-19. The thermal cycler used to carry out Real-Time PCR, which is the basis of molecular diagnostic tests, is already in the hands of an excellent team of scientists from the Malopolska Center of Biotechnology led by prof. Wojciech Branicki and prof. Krzysztof Pyrć.
The research are not of a commercial nature and will be conducted for the Lesser Poland Sanitary Inspector in close cooperation and under the supervision of the Main Sanitary Inspectorate in Krakow as well as in agreement and with the support of the National Institute of Public Health in Warsaw.
